It's not often that we discover a band that makes an impression.  The Majorleans certainly caught our attention over the past few months, and their mix of Americana, soul, and rock 'n roll with catchy choruses keeps us humming the songs for days after a show.  They played Pianos on Thursday, and, having changed up their lineup recently, we weren't sure what to expect.  We were not disappointed.

The core of the band is singer/guitarist Nicky Francis, singer/keyboardist Matthew Crosby and guitarist Ryan Mackstaller.  Having recently added Ben Woodbury and Daniel Jayo on drums and bass guitar, they have filled out their sound considerably.  The set on Thursday included nine originals and a cover of Neil Young's "The Needle & The Damage Done".  The crowd packed the small back room of Pianos, dancing and drinking heavily.
